Founded in 1896, Local 33 was Southern California's first theatrical stage crafts
labor union. We are proud of the skill and craftsmanship of our more than 1500 Brothers and Sisters.
Every stagecraft is represented by these dedicated men and women,
making each a valuable link in the production of any show. As the
only comprehensive and vertical stage crafts union in Los Angeles,
Local 33's stagehands can fill a producer's crew needs with only one telephone
call.

The growing number of college graduates that local 33 attracts
helps us meet the technology challenge. We are always recruiting new, skilled
stage technicians and we help our current members maintain
their technical education.
Whether it's game shows,
musicals, location shoots, news, special effects, or computer
designs, the members of Local 33 are the forefront of stage
innovation both in Los Angeles and in theatres and studios around the
world. Find out how to join Local 33 here.
