The undersigned applicant understands that this request on the applicants part for referral by I.A.T.S.E. Local 33's Dispatching Office to employment as a stagehand is not in any manner a guarantee of employment by I.A.T.S.E. Local 33. The applicant understands that employers may require drug testing before an applicant is hired.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT, pursuant to the provisions of the National Labor Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. § 151, et seq., as interpreted by the National Labor Relations Board, an of the federal government, and by the Supreme Court of the United States, you are required, in accordance with the "union security clause" of the collective bargaining agreement covering your employment, if applicable, to pay all dues and fees to I.A.T.S.E. Local 33 as a condition of your continued employment. However, you may elect non-member status, in which case you must still pay a fee equivalent to regular union membership dues and fees. Your failure to pay such fees will result in your termination from employment.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT, pursuant to the provisions of the National Labor Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. § 151, et seq., as interpreted by the National Labor Relations Board and by the Supreme Court of the United States, as may elect to file objections to funding expenditures by a non-member, you may elect to file objections to funding expenditures by I.A.T.S.E Local 33 that are non-germane to the collective objections bargaining process and/or to union administration. Individuals may file such objections by notifying the union in writing that they wish to elect non-member status and further that they object to the expenditure of any portion of their fees which are non-germane to the collective bargaining process and/or union administration. Examples of expenditures that have  been held or are considered to be germane to the collective bargaining process and/or union administration and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements meetings with or among employer and union administration the salaries of officers and agents, operation of a hiring hall, and similar costs and activities Examples of expenditures that have been held or are considered to be non-germane to the collective bargaining process and/or union administration are expenditures for charitable purposes, for community service for political purposes, for non-worker related legislative activities, for members-only benefits and for certain costs of affiliation.
