    November 28, 2014 -- During the first week of November Tim Cullen, Local 14 President and Aircraft Engineers International (AEI) – Secretary of The Americas, and I attended AEI’s 42nd Annual Congress in Paris, France. This year’s Congress was well attended; there were thirty-three delegates from seventeen different countries representing fourteen Aircraft Maintenance Technician/Engineer unions. As the Australian affiliate put it best, “We Are the Guardians of Air Safety,” and this year’s Congress focused primarily on the role of the AMT and the array of challenges we face as we do our jobs in a stressful environment.
